Universal Systems is proud to sponsor the second annual Valor Cup, a charity golf tournament benefiting the West Valley Fire Foundation and the first responders, families, and communities it supports.

Hosted at The Ridge Golf Club in West Valley City, the Valor Cup brings local businesses, golfers, volunteers, and community members together for a day of competition and fundraising. Tournament registration includes breakfast, lunch, event apparel, raffle opportunities, and other activities, with additional ways to participate available for those who are not golfing.

For USI, the event is an opportunity to support the people who consistently step forward when our community needs them most.

“Firefighters and first responders are an essential part of a strong and safe community,” said Rachel Wong, Chief Financial Officer at Universal Systems. “They show up for our neighbors on their hardest days, often placing their own health and safety at risk in the process. We are incredibly proud to support the West Valley Fire Foundation and help ensure these individuals and their families know that their community stands behind them.”

That support is particularly meaningful as Utah faces serious drought and wildfire conditions. The state declared a drought emergency in May 2026, with all 29 Utah counties experiencing severe drought and 22 counties experiencing extreme drought at the time of the declaration. State officials have also warned that dry vegetation and low fuel-moisture levels are contributing to increased wildfire potential.

About the West Valley Fire Foundation

Established in 2024, the West Valley Fire Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to support first responders, their families, and the broader community. Its work focuses on helping those affected by health challenges and personal hardship while also supporting efforts that create a positive impact throughout the community.

The organization is led by current, former, and retired local first responders who understand firsthand the pressures facing the people who serve and protect our communities. Its mission is simple: to help those who have committed their lives to helping others.

The inaugural 2025 Valor Cup was a sold-out event, bringing the community together to raise funds and awareness for the foundation’s mission. The 2026 tournament will build on that success through player registrations, sponsorships, donations, merchandise sales, raffles, and volunteer participation.
