IT infrastructure and installation, built to scale
From network architecture to server environments, we help organizations build infrastructure designed for reliability, operational continuity, and long-term scalability.
Whether you’re opening a location, upgrading an existing environment, or coordinating work across multiple sites, your infrastructure needs to support how the business operates. Universal Systems brings networking, servers, structured cabling, and physical security together to help you plan and install the systems your teams depend on every day.
Design and deployment of the network foundation that keeps your people, devices, and locations connected.

Supporting network infrastructure
A successful infrastructure installation is more than getting equipment mounted and cables connected. Planning, sequencing, testing, documentation, and handoff all matter. Our process brings those pieces together so every project is planned, installed, verified, and documented from the start.

One process across every location
From a single facility to nationwide multi-location rollouts, Universal Systems manages planning, staging, deployment, and documentation through one consistent process.
Our Salt Lake City team coordinates projects nationwide, helping organizations standardize infrastructure while maintaining consistency across locations.
Explore how organizations are modernizing network environments, infrastructure systems, physical environments, and security operations through integrated infrastructure deployment built for scale.
As Mountain Land Physical Therapy expanded across more than 70 clinics, Universal Systems helped standardize its technology infrastructure, creating a secure, scalable foundation that simplifies IT operations and supports continued growth.
What does an IT infrastructure project typically include?
The scope depends on the environment, but a complete infrastructure project typically starts with a site and current-state review, followed by solution architecture, hardware and bill-of-material validation, project planning, staging, installation, testing, documentation, and final handoff. Depending on the project, that can include networking, servers, structured cabling, rack infrastructure, wireless, firewalls, access control, and other supporting systems.
How long does a typical installation take?
A well-planned installation for a small office may take only a few hours, and many SMB installations can be completed within a day. Larger buildouts and multi-location projects take longer depending on the scope. Delays are most commonly caused by incomplete site preparation, missing network information, unfinished construction, equipment that was not configured before arrival, or changes to existing infrastructure discovered during installation.
We plan the rollout around how locations connect and how the business operates, rather than treating every site independently. That includes reviewing dependencies between locations, standardizing hardware where appropriate, staging and pre-configuring equipment before deployment, coordinating logistics, and sequencing installations to minimize disruption. Our Salt Lake City team supports infrastructure projects across the country.
The final handoff can include before-and-after rack photos, rack diagrams, testing documentation for new lines, keys or combinations, FAQs and contact information, available floor plans, and network topology documentation when applicable. The goal is to leave the customer with a documented environment that is easier to manage, troubleshoot, and expand.
